More than 200 million years ago, subterranean natural salt deposits of exceptional purity were formed in the Alps from the primordial seas of that time. This salt is characterised by the minerals it contains, its intense flavour and its uncontaminated origin.
We deliberately avoid the addition of separating agents and other additives, which can lead to natural lump formation (despite dry storage). However, this does not affect the quality, but confirms the naturalness of our product.
